Dr. George Obeid undertook oral and maxillofacial surgery training in England at The Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Sheffield; West Norwich Hospital, Norwich; Eastman Dental Hospital, London and Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, England. Dr. Obeid joined the Hospital Center in 1984, receiving advanced training in oral and maxillofacial surgrey, and remained there as a full-time faculty member. Since 1994, Dr. George Obeid has been Chairman and Director of residency training for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. Dr. Obeid served on the Advisory Committee for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and was a board examiner for seven years. Dr. Obeid is also a member of the craniofacial team at Children’s National Medical Center, where he has considerable expertise in cleft lip and palate and craniofacial anomalies.
